Patriot Airboat Corp. (“Patriot,” “we,” “us”) builds, sells, services and transports airboats out of our shop at 810 Edgewood St, Vidor, Texas. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
It covers patriotairboats.com, our online merch store, our 3D airboat builder, and the information you give us when you call, email, text, message us on social media or come by the shop. It does not cover websites run by other companies, even when we link to them.
By using our website or doing business with us, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Information we collect
We collect what you give us, what our website records when you use it, and a small amount from companies we work with to complete your deal.
Information you give us
| When you | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Fill out the build sheet for a new airboat | Name, phone, email, mailing address, your height and weight (used to plan seating and balance), whether the boat is for an agency, the options and colors you pick, and anything you write in the comment boxes |
| Send a service request | Name, phone, the boat, what is going on with it, and up to five photos |
| Sell, consign or trade in a boat | Name, contact details, boat details and photos, and the paperwork for the sale: titles, registration, trailer documents and lien payoff details |
| Buy a boat, hold one with a deposit, or order a build | Name, contact details, billing and delivery address, payment details, and the title and sale paperwork the deal needs |
| Order from our merch store | Name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, what you ordered and payment details. If you create an account, your login and order history |
| Ask about financing, transport, training or warranty work | Name, contact details, the boat involved, where it needs to go, and who will attend training |
| Call, email, text, message us on social media or visit the shop | Your contact details and whatever you choose to tell us |
| Apply for a job | Your contact details, work history and anything else you send |
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, health information or other sensitive data through our website. Your height and weight on the build sheet are used only to set up the boat.
Information our website collects automatically
- Device and visit data. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that sent you, and your approximate location based on your IP address. Google Analytics collects this for us.
- Store visit source. When you place a merch order, our store records how you found us (for example a search engine, a social post or a direct visit) and keeps that with the order.
- Spam screening. When you submit a form or log in, our spam filter checks signals such as your IP address, email address and browser behavior to block bots.
- Cookies and browser storage. See “Cookies, analytics and embedded content” below.
Information from other sources
- Payment processors confirm whether a payment went through. They do not give us your full card number.
- Lenders, transport companies and other partners send us updates about a deal you are part of.
- Social media platforms show us your public profile name when you message, comment on or tag our pages.
- Reviews you post publicly on Google can appear on our website with your public Google name, through a reviews feed.
How we use your information
We use it to run the shop and to do the job you asked us to do:
- Answer your calls, emails, messages and form requests.
- Quote, plan, build, rig and deliver your airboat, and send you updates on the build.
- Diagnose and complete service, repower and warranty work.
- Evaluate, inspect, photograph, list and sell a boat you consign, trade in or sell to us. Listings show the boat, its specs, price and photos. They do not show your name or contact details. Buyers contact Patriot, not you.
- Process payments, deposits, titles, registrations and the rest of the sale paperwork.
- Fill, ship and support merch orders, and run your store account if you have one.
- Arrange financing introductions, transport and training when you ask for them.
- Send you new inventory and offers if you have asked to hear from us. You can stop these at any time.
- See which pages people use so we can fix what is broken and improve the site.
- Block spam and fraud on the site.
- Keep tax and title records and meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone for their own advertising, and we do not use it for targeted advertising across other websites.
We share it only with the companies and people below, and only what each one needs to do its part.
| Who | Why | What they get |
|---|---|---|
| Website hosting, maintenance and form tools, including Jotform for the build sheet | Run the site, store form submissions and keep the site working | Whatever passes through the site or the form |
| Payment processors, including Stripe, which handles our store’s card payments | Take card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments and screen for fraud | Name, billing details, payment details, order amount |
| Printful | Print and ship merch orders | Name, shipping address, phone, email, what you ordered |
| Shipping carriers and boat transport companies | Deliver merch and haul boats | Name, phone, delivery address, delivery details |
| Lenders, when you ask about financing | Start or support your financing | Name, contact details, the boat and the price |
| Engine and component makers | Register or claim a manufacturer warranty for you | Name, contact details, boat and engine details |
| The other side of a boat sale | Complete the sale and transfer the title | What the title and sale paperwork require |
| Google Analytics | Measure how the site is used | Device and visit data, as described above |
| CleanTalk | Filter spam from forms and logins | IP address, email address, browser signals |
| State agencies, tax authorities and other government offices | Titles, registrations, taxes and other legal filings | What the filing requires |
| Accountants, lawyers and insurers | Professional advice, audits, claims | What the matter requires |
We will also share information when the law requires it, such as a subpoena or court order, or when it is needed to protect people or property from harm or fraud. If Patriot is ever sold or merged, customer records would transfer to the new owner, who would have to keep honoring this policy.
We do not share mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Cookies, analytics and embedded content
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Our site uses them, and it also loads a few things from other companies’ servers, which sends those companies your IP address.
| Type | What it does | Set or loaded by |
|---|---|---|
| Needed to run the site | Keeps your cart and login working, speeds up page loads, blocks spam, and lets the payment form screen for fraud | Our website, our store, CleanTalk, Stripe |
| Analytics | Counts visits and shows which pages get used, so we can fix and improve the site | Google Analytics |
| Store visit source | Records how you found our store so we can see which posts and searches bring in orders | Our store |
| Embedded video and fonts | Plays the video on our homepage and loads our typefaces | YouTube and Google Fonts, both run by Google |
Google may collect information about your visit to our site and your visits to other sites over time. You can read how Google uses that data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can block Google Analytics on every site with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block the ones needed to run the site, checkout and login will not work.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Our site does not change how it works when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, so a Global Privacy Control signal has nothing to opt you out of. If that ever changes, we will honor the signal.
Email, phone and text messages
If you contact us or do business with us, we will call, email or text you about that business: your quote, build, service, sale, order or delivery. These messages are part of the job and do not need a separate opt-in.
We send new inventory and offers only to people who have asked for them. Every marketing email has a way to unsubscribe, and you can also call or email us to be taken off the list.
For text messages, message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text, or tell us, and we will stop texting you. Reply HELP or call 409-422-0006 for help. As stated above, we do not share your mobile number or texting consent with anyone for their marketing.
How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the reason we collected it, then delete it or strip out what identifies you.
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Sale, title, payment and tax records | As long as tax, title and other laws require |
| Build, service and warranty records | For the life of the boat’s relationship with us, so we can support it |
| Inquiries that did not turn into business | Up to three years, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back |
| Marketing list | Until you unsubscribe |
| Google Analytics data | Up to 14 months |
Our website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Card payments go straight to our payment processor, and we never see or store your full card number. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need them to do their jobs.
No website or computer system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that your information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
No matter what state or country you live in, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Delete your information.
- Stop sending you marketing emails or texts.
To make a request, email faron@patriotairboats.com or call 409-422-0006. We will confirm who you are before we act, usually by matching the email address or phone number we already have for you. Someone you authorize, such as a family member or attorney, can make a request for you with your signed permission.
We will answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, and the total will not go past 90 days. Requests are free.
Some information we have to keep even after you ask us to delete it, such as the tax and title records the law requires, or records we need to finish a deal or honor a warranty. If that applies, we will tell you what we kept and why.
If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with the word “appeal.” We will review it and give you a written decision within 60 days. If you still disagree and live in Texas, you can file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General. Residents of other states can contact their own state attorney general.
We will not charge you more or treat you any differently for using these rights.
California residents. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
Nevada residents. We do not sell covered information. You can still send a request to opt out of any future sale to faron@patriotairboats.com, and we will record it.
Children
Our website and store are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Customers outside the United States
Patriot is based in Texas, and our website and records are in the United States. Some of our service providers may also handle information in other countries. If you contact us or buy from us from Canada, Australia, Latin America or anywhere else, your information is transferred to and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those at home. We use it only as this policy describes, and the rights in “Your choices and rights” apply to you as well.
Other websites and social media
Our site links to and pulls content from other companies, including Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Google and our partners. When you leave our site or use those platforms, their privacy policies apply, not this one. Anything you post in a public place, such as a Google review or a Facebook group, can be seen by anyone.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already have, we will tell customers directly by email or on the site before it takes effect.
