    Grant money or your own budget. Calcasieu Parish bought its boats with Port Security Grant funds.

    Spec it

    The shop helps you write the bid spec: hull, power, lights, seating and agency graphics.

    Bid it

    Open bids are fine. Jefferson County bought two Patriots on IFB 23-078. Patriot is registered in SAM.gov for federal buys.

    Build it

    Once your turn in line has come, it takes 17 days to build an airboat. Each one is water tested before it ships.

    Train it

    Deputies and wardens train with Patriot captains. Agencies buying boats get a training discount that grows with class size.

Calcasieu Parish swaps old boats for Patriots

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Marine Division took delivery of new Patriots bought with Port Security Grant funds. They replaced older airboats and give deputies current equipment for patrolling the marsh, waterways and hard-to-reach corners of the parish.

01How do law enforcement agencies buy a Patriot airboat?

Most buy on an open bid or with grant money. Jefferson County bought two on IFB 23-078, and Calcasieu Parish used Port Security Grant funds. Patriot is registered in SAM.gov for federal buys (UEI K3QVDQEP7KA9, CAGE 948Q4).

03What size airboat does a sheriff's office need?

Crew size, gear and the water you patrol decide it. Patriot builds hulls from 16 to 26 feet and special sizes to an agency's spec.

04Can you build multi-motor or special-size boats?

Yes. Agencies can request any hull size or setup, including multi-motor boats.

05How long does a build take?

Once your turn in line has come, it takes 17 days to build an airboat. Every boat gets a check sheet and a water test under load before it ships.

06Do you train deputies and game wardens?

Yes. Patriot's captains hold USCG OUPV licenses and have 20 or more years on airboats. Courses run 2 to 5 days, and agencies buying boats get a training discount that grows with class size.

Lifetime structural hull, 5-year stainless steel and 3-year or 200-hour engine.
