The first five
In October 2025 the Coast Guard ordered five airboats with trailers in support of the national emergency at the southern border. The award was not competed and totaled $466,777.14. Its place of performance is Edinburg, Texas.
Three more for the Rio Grande
A second order, for three Rio Grande airboats, followed in early 2026. It was a small business set-aside that drew four offers, totaled $350,997 and lists Weslaco, Texas. The Orange Leader reported the three boats delivered to South Texas that March.
Training and repairs
Patriot taught a Coast Guard airboat operator train-the-trainer course in Edinburg in the fall of 2025. In 2026 the Coast Guard came back to Patriot for boat repairs.
