The bid
The county asked for 18-foot airboats with motors and trailers. Three builders bid. Patriot's $89,000 boat and $4,500 trailer came in as the lowest total.
Delivery day
Patriot worked through the equipment details with Captain Danny Walker of the marine division, and the boats were delivered on Monday, June 24, 2024. The Beaumont Enterprise noted that they arrived just in time for hurricane season.
